Tiger mistress roundup Our heads are spinning (make it stop!) trying to keep track of all the other women in Tiger Woods' life. Since he has only confirmed "infidelities" and not specific persons, all we have to go on is what's been flung around the tabloids in the past month. By some counts, there are as many as 15 alleged mistresses out there, but after much scouring, we have found approximately 11 identified (named) women. Let's start with the newest after the jump.

| Phelps expresses sympathy for Woods |
[18 Dec 2009|01:25am] |
Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps expressed sympathy on Thursday for the plight of fellow American Tiger Woods and said he fully understood what it was like to make mistakes.
World number one Woods has taken an indefinite break from golf after admitting he had been unfaithful to his wife.
Phelps, speaking on the eve of a two-day meeting between the United States and a European team, said: "He (Woods) is going through a hard time right now.
"It can't be easy but I just wish him the best for himself and his family," the swimmer told a news conference at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.
The 24-year-old American, who won a record eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympics last year, was forced to apologise early this year after being photographed inhaling from a pipe used to smoke marijuana. No charges were laid.
"I'd be the first to admit I've made a lot of mistakes both in and out of the pool," said Phelps.
"But of the mistakes I've made I've never made the same mistake again. I've become a much stronger person and I've helped other people not make the same mistakes."

| Screenwriter Dan O’Bannon Dead at 63 |
[18 Dec 2009|02:38am] |

A legendary screenwriter of science fiction and horror, Dan O’Bannon, best known for writing Alien, passed away today at the age of 63. Bannon broke out back in 1974 with the lo-budget sci-fi flick Dark Star, which was director John Carpenter’s first major film. O’Bannon not only wrote the script for Dark Star, he also edited, art designed, acted in, and handled the special effects on the film.
Then he wrote Alien, which would be his biggest film both critically and commercially. But oddly enough, O’Bannon’s most ardent fans, while they unabashedly love Alien, seem to support the guy more for his smaller cult movies like Dark Star, Dead & Buried, Blue Thunder, his segment “B-17″ in Heavy Metal, and for The Return of the Living Dead, a film he also directed.

| Michael Lohan attacked by his ex-girlfriend |
[18 Dec 2009|12:59am] |
Michael Lohan's ex-girlfriend -- the one who got him arrested Monday -- has now been busted herself ... for allegedly kicking him in the head with her shoe ... this according to a police report obtained by TMZ.
According to the doc, Michael Lohan and Erin Muller pulled into the driveway of his mom's home on November 14. Michael apparently thought she was too "drunk and high" to drive and that triggered an argument. Michael says he then got out of the car and tried to keep her from driving. Lindsay Lohan's dad says when he opened her door, Erin intentionally kicked him in the head.
Remember, Erin got Michael arrested Monday for violating a restraining order. Mr. Lohan -- who knows a thing or two about revenge and jail -- filed a criminal complaint of his own, and Erin turned herself in today.

Girls Aloud - Here We Go |
] |

Conan O'Brien’s ratings have been slipping in recent months so badly that NBC is reportedly looking for a replacement! Popeater reports that network executives have begun informal talks to find a new late night funny man for the time slot.
A source says, "NBC just can't carry on like this. 'The Tonight Show' has lost 52 percent of its viewership in just one year. The November ratings will be the show's lowest in 15 years. They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation.”
Insiders say the one man on everyone’s wish list is Jerry Seinfeld. But getting him to commit is another thing. Jerry had a hit show on NBC for nine years, but has been off the network since 1998.
Conan’s people are vehemently denying the speculation. NBC spokesperson Drew Shane responded: "Completely false. There are no conversations happening. Conan is the host of the 'Tonight Show.'"

A Single Man star Matthew Goode is looking stylish as he shows off the ten best new looks of the upcoming season in the January 2010 issue of GQ. Along with modeling the latest trends, the 31-year-old actor shared what it was like to work on two very different films - Tom Ford’s A Single Man and Leap Year with Amy Adams…
On playing a man with gay tendencies in several different movies: It’s like Ben Stiller going “full retard” in Tropic Thunder. This is my full gay. But Tom’s screenplay is so good. It’s a love poem to his partner.
On Leap Year: I don’t think that one will shatter anyone’s illusions about love. But I hope people will go and watch it. If they don’t, it won’t be the first time. For more from Matthew, check out GQ.com!

| Spider-Man 4 Stalled Because of Villains? |
[17 Dec 2009|10:15pm] |
|

Spider-Man 4 is supposed to make its way to theaters in 2011, yet the production continues to hit snags along the way. For the past few weeks we’ve been hearing one rumor after the other regarding the film’s casting. More specifically, the villains have come into question and their causing some serious issues with the production.
Various sources have stated that Spider-Man 4 has been put on “indefinite hold” because Sony and director Sam Raimi can’t decide on a villain for the film. We’ve heard that some of the characters in contention are The Lizard, Black Cat, and Vulture, but none have been confirmed. Rumors spread like wildfire that the villain debate was causing so much confusion that the studio halted the production.
Over at MTV, they got word from a Sony spokesperson who said the news wasn’t true and the film will go on according to plan. The upcoming break the movie will take is scheduled and due to the holiday season. They plan on resuming work on the film early next year, so all of you who thought Spider-Man was in trouble can relax. This is standard operating procedure for any studio to take time off at the end of the year.
Are you worried about the production of Spider-Man 4? Who should be the film’s villain?

| Chezza blasts 'mean' No 1 campaign |
[17 Dec 2009|09:21pm] |
Cheryl Cole has criticised the "mean campaign" threatening to keep her protege, Joe McElderry, out of the Christmas number one spot. The Girls Aloud star, who worked with her fellow Geordie on The X Factor, said she hoped his song, The Climb, he beats Rage Against The Machine (RATM) in the race for the top of the charts. She said: "I would be devastated to see Joe lose possibly the best thing that could happen to him in his life. Every aspiring pop star dreams of a number one record." She added: "It is a beautiful song. He put his heart and soul into every single week of The X Factor and I cannot bear to see him lose out to a mean campaign that has nothing to do with his efforts. If that song, or should I say campaign, by an American group is our Christmas number one I'll be gutted for him and our charts." Latest figures show RATM retaining their lead with Killing In The Name in the biggest seasonal chart battle for a decade. Despite predictions that talent show winner McElderry would storm ahead when his CD went on sale on Wendesday, the rap-metal act are still in front. But the 18-year-old has narrowed the gap, with the difference between them now at around 40,000 copies. Retailers and record company Sony will be rubbing their hands at the chart battle as the two tracks between them have now sold around 470,000 copies so far this week, according to Official Charts Company data. If sales continue, they could sell upwards of 500,000 copies each by the weekend. The last big Christmas battle anywhere near this scale was the Spice Girls' Goodbye and South Park character Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls in 1998. The Spice Girls won with 380,000 to their rival's 375,000. Fans of McElderry were out in force yesterday as the CD version of his song finally hit shops. It had previously been available only as a download. The X Factor winner sold more than 100,000 copies of the single on Wednesday. RATM's track has been championed by an internet campaign as an X Factor protest vote because of its anti-establishment sentiment. Final chart positions will be announced on Sunday. Source

| Low budget Mary Hart leaves poor man's Entertainment Tonight |
[17 Dec 2009|07:23pm] |
(yes, that is Arsenio) Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell is leaving her job two years before her contract expires. Her last show will be this week.
"The original member of the Access Hollywood family, co-anchor and respected broadcast journalist Nancy O'Dell, has chosen to leave the show after 13 years," says a statement from her rep. "O’Dell appreciates NBC’s cooperation as she begins this next chapter in her career.
Even though she will be leaving for a new opportunity, this decision is based totally on Nancy’s desire to take her career to the next level and is completely amicable. She will continue on with projects as a broadcast entertainment journalist."
A source tells PEOPLE O’Dell has been uncomfortable for the past several months with what she sees as the show's more sensational direction. "She has spent a lot of years building respect in the entertainment community and celebrities trust her," says the source. "She's known as the nice and classy girl. She values that."
Prior to the show, O’Dell spent seven years as a news anchor and investigate reporter.
As for what she’s doing next, O’Dell has yet to make an announcement. Her next scheduled broadcast appearance will be as the host of the Tournament of Roses Parade live on NBC on New Year’s day.
O’Dell is married to business executive Keith Zubchevich. They are parents to daughter Ashby, 2. She’s also the step-mom to sons Tyler, 14, and Carson, 10. www.people.com/people/article/0,,20331597,00.html

London Times: Kate Moss Was Right

Don’t damn the supermodel for being honest. If you want to be thin, you have to eat less. And thin is much better than fat. Asked during an interview with a fashion website if she had any mottoes, Kate Moss replied, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”. And the clouds parted, and the sky opened, and Hell rained down upon her.
“Outrage over Kate’s size zero motto” screamed one newspaper. “Storm at ‘anorexia’ comments”, cried another, putting ‘anorexia’ in inverted commas, of course, because Kate didn’t say anything about anorexia at all.
Most of the time the tabloids lambast Kate for the twin evils of endorsing drug abuse and taking pleasure from sexual intercourse, but this time they were furious because, by apparently celebrating a lifestyle choice that involves exercising willpower in the face of temptation in order to feel good about herself, Kate is, of course, encouraging teenage girls to develop a mental illness and die...( Read the full article... )

| Elisabeth Hasselbeck out does herself. |
[17 Dec 2009|08:42pm] |
On this morning’s View, I was shocked to watch as Lizzie, never known for her smarts, actually asked actor Stanley Tucci, whose wife died from cancer this year, if his DEAD WIFE had seen his movie.
Personally, I would have walked out, but Stanley, being the classy guy that he is, just said “no” and changed the subject.
Background: she died from cancer in April. He was talking about how when he first was offered the role, his wife told him not to do it. But then after being promised that they weren’t showing the rape/murder, he decided to.
Seriously, View people. Don’t you guys have background researchers? A simple Google search would have told you in SECONDS if this was an inappropriate question. I didn’t think it was possible for Elisabeth Hasselbeck to look any stupider, but she proved me wrong today, BUT GOOD.
